The Arlington Road Runners Club was founded in April of 2007. Its parent organization, The Road Runners Club of America, is a non-profit organization of more than 670 running clubs and 160,000 members across the United States. The RRCA member chapters organize training runs, provide safety guidelines, promote fitness running programs and offer social activities. ARRC was formed to promote fitness through walking and running programs.
We will help you reach your race and fitness goals while providing a fun, supportive atmosphere. The club will help train new runners and walkers to complete local races, such as the Army Ten-Miler and Marine Corps Marathon, and to improve their general fitness levels.
If you’ve dreamed of walking or running a marathon or just need a fitness group for accountability, we’re the club for you. We have a 26-week Spring/Summer program for both marathon and half-marathon training and we offer a separate time-based program for our members who wish to come out and train each week but do not have race aspirations.
Our next Spring/Summer program will begin Spring 2009.
